February 1, 2006 - Tangara demonstrates FA2LT application at WSDA's annual staff meeting

EVERETT, WA - Tangara demonstrated the FA2LT application developed for WSDA's Commodity Inspection Division at their annual staff meeting in Everett, Washington. In attendance were representatives of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Oregon Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture.

January 25, 2006 - Tangara selected by WSDA to develop HR/Payroll application

OLYMPIA, WA - Tangara has been selected by the Washington State Department of Agriculture to develop a HR/Payroll system for the collection of time tracking data. Their current paper based tracking and legacy reporting application will be replaced with a modern data entry and reporting system. Inspectors will use their Tablet PCs for entering timesheet information and then synchronize that data to a main server for processing and review by supervisors. All other employee will use a web interface accessible via the internet.

The benefits of the new application include: accurate and timely data collection; and time saving for inspectors and district office staff. Return on Investment for WSDA will include saving costs on mileage from inspectors returning the forms to the main office, time for someone to data enter all the information, and the removal of the need of hardcopies of the timesheets.

January 24, 2005 - Tangara wins contract with State Department of Agriculture

OLYMPIA, WA - Washington State Department of Agriculture has chosen Tangara to streamline the inspection of fruit and vegetables for some 150 inspectors in the field throughout Washington State. The objectives of the application will be to eliminate the hand writing and manual entry of data into the system. Tangara will be developing custom electronic forms for capture of inspection data and will develop replication and synchronization routines for loading of the data onto the Department’s server. Because the application must operate in field conditions, Tablet PCs will be used. Tangara will be developing a self-updating package so that WSDA can install updated software in the field. The application will reduce data entry, mathematical errors, maintenance costs and provide inspection data more quickly to governmental constituent groups.

October 21, 2004 - Tangara Technologies Announces Forms Accounting and Financial Administration Systems Award

OLYMPIA, WA - Tangara Technologies has been selected by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) for continued development of their Forms Accounting and Financial Administration program (FA2). WSDA is responsible for administering a program that ensures produce being shipped across the state, country and the world comply with state and federal guidelines for grade and condition standards. FA2 is a custom web-based application that collects data from multiple paper forms into a database. Invoices, collections and reports are generated from the collected data. eForms have been integrated into the application and are used by customers to maintain their Compliance Agreement with WSDA and to input and print Certificates of Compliances (COC). Tangara Technologies has been selected by WSDA to enhance and resolve technical issues with the FA2 application. This involves modifying the application to be less dependant on items such as the Java Virtual Machine; preparing the system for the integration of remote data collection devices; and developing a method for paper COC's to be validated upon entry with a customer's Compliance Agreement.
